March 2016 Median Home Prices for El Segundo CA and the South Bay.

The numbers for March are in and it was a big month for the number of homes sold in Torrance.  Torrance has been hovering a bit over 100 for the past few months but March saw 133 homes sell throughout this South Bay city.

Everything is on the up in the world of El Segundo Real Estate

There’s just not much that’s down in the El Segundo housing market.  The number of homes on the market is up, pending home sales are up, and closed escrows are up.  One other key aspect of the market that’s up is the prices with home prices in El Segundo continuing to rise.  The median home price in El Segundo for March of 2016 was just over a whopping $1,000,000.

Big Day for Single Family Home Listings in El Segundo

While usually the single family homes for sale in El Segundo are limited at best, today was a big day by El Segundo standards.  Four new home listings hit the market today and the other big news is that all four were listed over $1,000,000.  Most months the median home prices in El Segundo are below $1,000,000 so it’s impressive to see everything hit the market at this price point.

February 2016 Median Home Prices in El Segundo and the South Bay

El Segundo, CA and the South Bay saw another strong month for home prices although a few cities saw big percentage drops in average home prices.  Those numbers, especially in smaller cities, or in a month with fewer home sales, don’t really mean much, but taken over times gives a good indication as to what is happening in the local El Segundo real estate market.

El Segundo had a fairly typical month with 11 home sales, but prices topped $1.1M which is pretty rare in this coastal community.

Median Home Price in El Segundo Tops $1,000,000

The January home sales numbers are in and the median home prices for El Segundo in January was a whopping $1,074,000.  Although the market is certainly continuing to rise the jump of almost 35% was due mainly to the types of homes that closed in January.  Unlike previous months the bulk of the homes that sold were larger single family homes on large lots, and multi unit properties. The highest sales price was for 802 Center Street which closed at $2,150, 000 which is a very large number for this coastal community.  It wasn’t long ago that home sales in El Segundo approaching $2.0M was fairly unheard of.  Click here to view the home sales in El Segundo and South Bay for January 2016.

El Segundo CA Home Prices Up in December

The December numbers are in and if there was any thought that the real estate market in El Segundo was leveling the numbers certainly say otherwise.

The average home price in El Segundo for the homes that closed escrow during December was $1,023,000 with a median price of $999,000. March once again saw some impressive median home prices while housing inventory remained low.  The median home price in El Segundo for March of 2015 was $849,000 with 17 home sales.  The real estate market trends in El Segundo are definitely indicating a very active summer market.  With some top schools and a location along the coast, the summer months are always the highest demand for this coastal community.  See the current homes for sale in El Segundo.

March 2015 Home Sales in El Segundo

El Segundo saw another strong month of home sales in March as the demand for homes in this coastal community continues to increase.  11 homes successfully closed escrow in El Segundo with the lowest price home being a 2 bedroom condo in the Pacific Sands condo complex at 770 W Imperial.  The highest priced sale of the month was a 4 bedroom single family home at 709 Redwood that closed at $1,300,000.
