Places We Like – El Segundo Brewing Company

If you like craft beer and the feeling that you’re in a “locals” type place, you may want to visit the El Segundo Brewing Company tap room.    It’s not a fancy place but has that cool vibe that you’ve found something that the tourists don’t know about.  As it’s a working brewery it’s just a small area with a bar and a few small tables basically in what was probably a loading dock at some point.  They have a great variety of beers and the people are very friendly.

They usually have between 15-20 beers on tap and are open 7 days a week.  We’ve only been in the evenings but there always seems to be a healthy amount of people without being too crowded.  If a casual off the beaten track experience is what you’re looking for…this could be your place.

The Biggest El Segundo Home Sale of 2017 – 403 Whiting Street

El Segundo real estate saw home values rise dramatically in 2017. Home values went up over 6% and values should continue to rise in 2018 although likely at a slower pace.

The biggest MLS residential sale of 2017 was a duplex at 403 Whiting Street which was listed at $2,289,000 and sold at $2,155,000. The home sold in February after just 12 days on the market. It was located in the center of El Segundo on a very large 7,000+ foot lot and was built within the last few years.  The property also included a  2 bdr./1 bath cottage built around 1919 with a separate address and its distinct separation from the property.
