It was a great month for home sales in El Segundo…..especially for December.  There were 16 on market homes sold during the month which is much higher than usual. The median “list” price of the homes that sold was $1,862,000 with the median “sold” price at $1,781,750. Those are huge numbers for El Segundo. The average price per foot was $725 and average days on market was only 41.

What’s the Latest on El Segundo Real Estate

Let’s take a quick look at the real estate market in El Segundo during the past 12 months.  The number of homes for sale in El Segundo have bounced around a bit with the number of active listings, pending sales and closed sales dropping in the past few months.

Below is a chart showing the average “list” prices as well as the average “sold” prices.  The most recent months show that while list prices have gone up quite a bit in the second half of the year, the sale prices have headed the other way.

Luxury Home Hits the Market on Sycamore

Currently the highest priced home on the market in El Segundo is a 5 bedroom, 4 bath single family home with over 4,000 square feet.   The home is located at 513 Sycamore and priced at $2,698,000.  Built in 2005 there are some parts of the home that feel fairly dated but the almost 7,000 foot lot has a lot to offer.

Home sales and home prices in El Segundo CA

November was an impressive month for both the number of home sales in El Segundo and the prices with 13 on market property sales.

  The median “asking” price was $1,199,000 with the median “sold” price at $1,180,000 indicating that we’re still in a very hot seller’s market.

The average price per foot (not super relavant in El Segundo) was $722 and the average days on market was 38 wit the median days on market before selling a very brief 10.
